DOMUS ACADEMY LAUNCHES THE INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
WHY IS THE COOLHUNTING TECHNIQUE USEFUL FOR DESIGN THINKERS?


Candidates are requested to explain from their point of view “Why is the cool hunting technique useful for design thinkers” preparing a business report based on their findings. The report should include case studies identified during their analysis (e.g. products, brands, methodologies etc..), supported by schemes and exemplifying illustrations and photos which sustain the specific thesis/standpoint.
TARGET
The competition addresses both professionals such as: designers, fashion and product managers and students with a relevant educational background and with a strong interest in the fields of marketing and communication.
PRIZES
One scholarship for non-EU citizens, covering 50% of the total tuition fee of the Short Course Spring Session in COOL HUNTING at Domus Academy.
One scholarship for EU citizens, covering 50% of the total tuition fee of the Short Course Spring Session in COOL HUNTING at Domus Academy.
JURY
The winning projects will be selected by Lucia Chrometzka (Future Concept Lab), Paolo Ferrarini (Future Concept Lab), Andrea Tosi (Domus Academy) Marianne Mazzanti (Domus Academy).
MATERIALS REQUIRED
The project will need to be in word format (1 sheet at most) or in a 3-slide PowerPoint presentation (including pictures). Any further attached material (analysis of the brand and benchmark cases) will be considered a plus to the project and will be evaluated by the jury.
DEADLINE
The works must be received at Domus Academy by and not later than 25th March 2009.

COMPETITION RULES
Every moral or paternity right as to the project remains property of the author. The projects sent to Domus Academy will not be returned. All the material must be the result of an unpublished work developed by the candidate, not to be used by the candidate in other or previous occasions. A curriculum vitae and a statement of purpose of the candidate must be attached to the project. Candidates will be informed on the results of the competition via e-mail by the 30th of March
2009. These conditions are intended only for the Academic Year 2009
(15 – 30 April 2009).
